What Makes a Digital Transformation Group
Chief Digital Officer (CDO)
A CDO is a senior-level executive who serves as the highest-ranking executive. He handles leading Dx efforts throughout the organization. He will define and communicate the vision. As well as the strategy of the organization’s digital strategy and initiatives. This also includes establishing performance targets and digital capability indicators. Also, on developing frameworks to measure the organization’s progress.
Chief Information Officer (CIO)
The CIO handles leading all information technology activities in an organization. Also, he will ensure that technology supports their business objectives. As well as strategic priorities and mission. The CIO is also responsible for the development of the organization’s IT strategy. And ensuring that it aligns with organizational goals.
Chief Marketing Officer (CMO)
The CMO works with the CDO to lead the Dx group. This is by contributing to the development of a holistic digital strategy for an organization. The CMO will also ensure that Dx initiatives align with an organization’s business objectives and brand identity.
Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO)
A CHRO has a significant role in developing people-centric strategies. This is still to support an organization’s Dx initiatives. The CHRO supports an organization’s employee talent management initiatives. This includes talent acquisition, talent retention, and talent development. So that they attract, motivate, develop and retain a digitally-enabled workforce. Those that support the success of organizational initiatives.
The above-mentioned executives can be part of a cross-functional team. With members from IT, finance, marketing, sales, customer service, and risk management departments. Also, you can include other members of this team. From management leadership from specific business units. Or even from across the company, depending on company size and structure.
For example, you can include a:
